Hello ivan28,

6 months, if you missed due to holidays like xmas and pope visit or side effect complications of medications then your time is more than 6 months.

To Manish,

It is always depends on your xray result and physicians discretion. If you are in the Philippines high probability that you will take medication on scar lung no matter your sputum result or repeated xray result. To answer specific your question the answer is neither because scar is scar. Scar is scar so question 2 is not a good sign. If your old and new x ray are stabilized and not spreading (the size and location) the scar means a good sign.

Hi shoks,

Make them aware that your wife had treatment history. I hope she won't go to sputum test that will take 3 months not 4 or 6 weeks.

Hi Andy,

We called iom and confirmed last March 15, when they submitted the medical, they told me that they sent it March 4 all the results and clearances. I called CiC last March 24 just to check if they have received it already. The agent told me that all medicals were received already so I double check and asked particulary for my husband's medical. The agent assured me that medical for my husband was received and it's in the visa office already. So I said, I am just worried coz I know that there is a validity for the medical and she told me you can follow up with your visa office. I sent an online case specific inquiry last March 27 and I am really hoping and wishing that they can finalize everything this month :)

Hi Andy, I am concern because of scar vanished.
We did X ray from outside in which chest/lungs is cleared no scar found.
So any idea, If scar cleared or No scar found in repeat X ray, i guess it is ok. What you say ?

Hi Ivan28,

CIM requested everthing last year passports, medicals and updated documents for my mom, sis and bro plus cenomar for my sister and no school documents for my sister and brother.

To Manish,

For what I know scar won't disappear fr your lungs if you had previous treatment fr tb or pneumonia. If you have no scar right now that's a good sign but I am not saying that your scar disappeared.

To pat,

You are optimistic than me which is good a month and a half fr medical, me my real feeling and I hope before may 24 dated took their medicals or before July 24 dated when st lukes submitted initial report to cic or with in this year. I hope everything ok and we get visa for our family. I can't call CIM so my plan 3 months if no visa yet I will go to mp. I am so worried because it's my sis and bro future and for my mother so that she can enjoy life going places with us. I never felt this for myself applying in Canada when I was in the Philippines and canada to US.

Maam did ur husband take his medications at st. lukes? I did not have my medical exam at st. lukes because i have read in forums that if you have a problem regarding xray... you are required to undergo 6 months medication at st. lukes... that will be a great stress because i am fom Zambales... i am worried if this will be a problem because i get my medications at a health center near my house...

Ivan28,

He did his medical at IOM. He doesn't have to go there personally. He was just given the prescription of what he needs to take. And after 4 months of not seeing anything from the Re- Xray, The Dr. from Makati Med lower the dose of his medication.

Hi...

i would like to ask for advise...i was diagnosed with PTB when i was still in college...there was a small scar in my x-ray,undergone treatment for 6 months...to make the story short, when i applied for work in the hospital, my x-rays were clear and negative of any findings...

any suggestions if do i still need to declare this case during my medicals??

thank you!

Hello jackil,

In my view if asked past medical history you suppose to tell that you are been diagnosed with ptb before and treated. This is like you are been asked for any allergy, if you are allergic for example penicillin you always put on your medical file and inform any new practitioner you will be seeing.

Update, I checked just today at cic website no medical receive yet on our file.
