i got my PR on 05/2009 and valid till 05/2014 though during last period i spent only one week in canada and wasn't able to come back to illness of my daughter which identified as having psychiatric illness
Fortunatly i applied for PRTD based on H&C grounds and i got one valid for 6 months.
i am planning now to return back to canada for once. reading previous postes some people says that i can apply for a renewal of my PR immediatly and will get it in almost 3 months since decesion is already taken, others recommend staying 2 years straight before that and that renewal process will put my status in risk.
Would you please advise.
