Proof of funds for dependants landing

As a Principal member, I had completed landing in dec 09. Now in june my family landed. No questions asked as to proof of funds or the amount they are carrying. This is for information to interested members.

As you are the PA, none of your accompanying ( or landing later ) family member is responsible for the POF. But they can bring money with them individually, which is not needed to declare if not exceeding $ 10,000 per person.

Can PA land alone? I had impression that family member mentioned in app form must accompany PA while first landing.

Yes PA can land alone and family members can follow as long as their visas are still valid. Family members cannot land before PA.
