Professional poker player

I have been playing poker professionally for a little under 2 years. I have been playing full time, about ~180 hours a month, with an extra 40-50 hours for studying and analyzing.
I believe poker players come under noc 5251- athletes.
My question is- how someone will go about proving their work experience in such noc?
I have TDS certificates issued by the poker website as a proof of income and my poker tracking software shows the number of hours/hands I have played everyday. Is that gonna be enough as a proof?
Any input would be appreciated.

I guess someone might want to see that you are a member of a professional poker organisation and not just accept a website input on its own. Generally qualifying athletes believe need to show world class performance or I guess in terms of poker players significant competition wins whether national or international not just earning a living, but that just my view.

yeah, thats what it says under self-employed category. But is it also true if you apply under FSW?

You're right - it's not true for FSW. You just need to have a NOC A, B or 0 role and meet the other criteria. Also, for FSW being selected obviously depends on how many points you have under the Express Entry points system. Right now you need to have at least 450 points to be selected.

This whole "professional poker player and immigration" thing is a real head-scratcher. On the one hand, poker skills take serious smarts and discipline – the kind of qualities Canada loves in its immigrants. But how do you prove your income comes from skill and not, well, pure luck?

Maybe there's a way to leverage online play for documentation. Blockchain technology, for example, could provide a transparent record of hands played and winnings. Though that whole "bitcoin casino bonuses" world seems a little Wild West for immigration purposes.

Ultimately, I think strong documentation and a killer business plan are key. Show them you're a strategic thinker, not just a card shark, and you might be surprised how many chips fall into place.
