Processing Times

Hi,

My name is Dan. I was born in Brazil currently living in Australia.

When I look at Processing times for the Quebec I see the following:

Australia
Verification of documents submitted: 51 months
Preliminary review: 1 to 3 months
Selection review: 1 to 9 months

Brazil
Verification of documents submitted: 0 months
Preliminary review: 1 to 3 months
Selection review: 1 to 9 months

Could I send my application using my brazilian address as reference, even though I'm currently living in Australia to avoid those 4 years(51 months)???

All Quebec applications go to Montreal.

Processing times are based on your country of residence. Immigration agents are not daft: if you're living and working in Australia, do you really think they won't notice that from your application ?

I'm waiting for the studies recognition to apply so I'm hoping to apply when the online system comes to play on 18th January 2016.

I asked because when I filled my application last year for the Federal Skilled, I could chose which office to process. Unfortunately when they received my application the limit was already reached.
