processing time

Hello,
I received initial acceptance of my case for immigration on July 24 with direction to send all original documents to visa officer in Canadian Embassy in Pakistan within 120 days. I sent my all original documents to Visa officer in Canadian Embassy in Pakistan on October 10, 2009. It is generally believed that within 45 days you are responded. However more than 45 days have gone but i did not get any reply. Will you let me know what is the exact time for response. If response is delayed what could be its basic reason. Third how could i get current status of my case.

Not sure who made you believe on that 45 day turn around time but to my knowledge there hasnt been any fixed duration for an AOR to be released. Just check with your courier if your docs have been delivered safely. If they have, then cross your fingures and sit tight until CIC writes to you whenever that is. Its Christmas ladies and gents!

one of my frd sent on 17th Aug'2009 n still did not receive AOR from CHC islamabad...
so i think u can wait a little more.....

1thing more u can check ur status online on www.cic.gc.ca, my frd status shows tat his docmuents received by visa office...

if u cant go to www.cic.gc.ca u can see check my application status on the right side of the page

I tried this and it says "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."
