Interesting they mentioned ecu and medicals by email

Usually they dont
Well that was just in the subject line of the reply from CHC ND.

It seems ECU sends reply to our CSQs after the File is In Process i.e. after VO/IO issues instructions to ECU.

This also indicates that the files with E-CAS as "In-Process" are now with ECU wing of CHC ND.

I have the scan of letter received by my consultant yesterday, can't paste the whole letter but updating the vital contents in simple language as below:

VO writes (Dated 28-March-2012) to PA (Female) You do meet the selection Criteria (Points 67 or above) but not satisfied that you will be able to ecnomically adapt yourself in Canada due to below reasons:

1. IELTS assessment you have scored 6 out of possible 16 points in your first language with an over all band score 5.0 & in 2nd language it is 0 so you scored 6 out of possible 24. This hinders your finding employment & establish economically in Canada. (She should have worked improved on this point prior to submittting her full docs)

2. No evidence of your spouse (husband's) english level ability. So I am not satisfied if your spouse is having adequate english level ability for finding employment in his field of expertise or related field. (STRANGE what does VO expects here, IELTS of SPOUSE also). 3. Bank statements show sudden large funds deposits for which source is unknown. (We have a long un-ending debate related to this in another thread, now we understand the significance of funds proof) 4. Not satisfied that your old canadian citizen & his wife will be able to support you in canada since they just have $ 21k (CAD) as their personal credit. (So they not only see that you have a relative in Canada but also if that relative can support you)

5. Finally your relative lives in X location & you are planning to settle in Y location 300 kms away, not satisfied that they will be able to help you settle in Y location. ( Now think how critically the information provided by us is being examined, Imagine the extent of analysis done by the VO) Giving you an opportunity to reply on above concerns & provide additional documents within 30 days from the date of this letter.
If you will not reply a decision will be made based on present information in your file.

Sincerely

Signed

Hi Unni,

The letter that I had posted was basically for the info of all forum members & the way CIC is screening the appliations. However some points were really irrelevant as if VO just wanted to bring out maximum reasons to create problem in the application.

Although this shows that situation is grim as far as processing of MI-1 applications are concerned but things & situations vary from case to case basis. Ur relative is Canadian Citizen in Govt. Sector this is a positive part. I don't have any relative in Canada :)

You should not compare this with your case. Just relax & think positive.

Dear Canadian Dreams,

I have a question regarding the lines you mentioned in red.

If applied after 27-Feb-2008 & before 26-June-2010, processing of application is likely to begin before July 2012, however finalization may not occur until 2012 end/or after 2012 (after 2012 is 2013/2014/2015........ so on)

Did they mentioned finalization may not occur untill 2012 end or they mentioned finalization may not occur until after 2012.
Please share exact lines as appeared in reply of your CSQ.

Received (Not so encouraging) CSQ reply. Writing the vital part of the reply in my own language (Please don't mind typing errors)

My E-CAS is > In Process
Inside is > Letter sent + Processing date of March 2012

CSQ received by CHC ND : XX-April-2012

Reply sent by CHC ND : XX-April-2012 (After 12 days)

Subject: ECU - E000000XXXX - My Name

Dear Applicant,

With reference to your Application for PR & enquiry.

An AOR was sent & a file was created at our Office. Please note that processing has already begun on this application & it is currently awaiting further review.

Unless we specificely ask , please do not furnish any documents. Our office will contact to provide additional documents when required for further assessment, including medical examination instructions. (This part is Bold in reply).

If applied after 27-Feb-2008 & before 26-June-2010, processing of application is likely to begin before July 2012, however finalization may not occur until 2012 end/or after 2012 (after 2012 is 2013/2014/2015........ so on)

(Small font size from here till the end of letter as if copy/paste)
Unfortunately , it will take longer... received 425,000 applications & 144,000 not yet received a decison upto 1 January 2012. Number is twice the projected admissions under FSW 2011.

Also please note that if you wish to withdraw the application, then you are NOT ELIGIBLE for refund of processing fees at this stage as processing of file has begun.
(This is bold font).

Applications in SW category are processed in order of receipt of application & fees. We are not yet ready to review the file so you are not required to furnish any documents in support of your application. Application is still within normal processing times, we ae not able to prvide any status update on file. When we are ready to review, we will send a document request letter using contact info mentioned in the file. That letter will list all the documents required to continue further processing of application.

Until we contact you only provide documents if :

- Change in family composition
- Request to withdraw
- Submission of AEO
- Change in Authorised Representation.

Processing times vary depending on # of new applications, individual complexity of each application. You can chk case status on CIC website.

If you have mentioned same words than in that case ECU is in control at the moment and those who got refered to ECU will get visas by OCT/NOV/DEC (medicals by July/Aug/Sept) and this could be an encouraging signal infact.

Yes Truthseeker, it is exactly what is written in the reply fro CHC > "If you have applied as a Federal Skilled Worker on or after 27-Feb-2008 & before 26-June-2010, processing of the application is likely to begin before July 2012, however finalization may not occur until the end of 2012/or after 2012."

Hi Canadiandreams,

I have same status as yours, april 2010 applicants, from decision made onto process in 2012. In March 19 my ecas says they send me a letter and they have started processing on same date but no letter received as yet.

My question for you, was the letter you received referring to the the letter mention in your ECAS ecas or it was the letter of response because you made a specific enquiry?

Good, this is what I wanted to hear because earlier they used to reply that ".......finalization may not occur until after 2012" means they will not issue any visa to MI-1 in 2012 but now they have started mentioning "...........finalization may not occur until the end of 2012/or after 2012" means they will issue some visa to MI-1 in 2012 end.

It is not the "letter sent" mentioned in ECAS. It is a reply to my Case Specific Query in April 2012
