I also wrote them (CHC London) approx a month back but they didn't reply......... well, be mentally prepared for refund and step up for re-applying in Jan 2013 as soon as CIC resumes to have fresh in-take.

I dnt think it is somthing good in the sense that they asked from me on 27 june-2012 and on 29 june-2012 they issued a press release that if we asked any update from any applicant ( before 2008 cases ) then please hold to submit updation..but i still sent all required doc to CHC london...i don't waht is happening...

u have a point there...
i would say, it is up to the individual applicant now whether to join or not based on one's assessment about the situation....
at least in ur case, u were asked to update before the freeze came up.

did u try ordering ur CAIPS to see what's going on with ur application?

what I understand is that refunds, if there are any, have been put on hold until after Sept 2012.
this may have something to do with the current lawsuits on file.
until then, it's a game of wait and see....

i wud like to share my CAIPS recd recently. i ordered on 27.06.2012, recd 26.07.2012 via email

FSW1 appl recd- 15-12-2004
AOR - 15-03-2005

11.2008 - Sent letter dtd 1.11.2008 advising client of the option of withdrawing file within the next 90d, and receiving a full refund.
(Note: I did not receive this letter altho I will not withdraw for sure)

PSDEC - 1 [ Oct 5, 2010 ]
SELDEC - 0

File BF'D to : on 27-11-2010

10.2010 - Would recommend requesting for the ff docs (updated forms, updated POF, new pp size photos). File for selection review.[Note: Haven't recd any request.]

11.2010 - no new info except acknowledging my letter updating my mailing address.

I hate to think the unthinkable, but still hoping something may change....

Along with application, did u submit original documents/notarised copies of educational certificates, birth , marriage, IELTS,proof of funds etc?

Are u Islamabad applicant whose file transferred to London?

1. Yes, since those were the requirements at the time, except IELTS because it was not a requirement back then. Just certifications from school, workplace about English language ability

2. my visa office is Manila, Philippines

They ask updated information especially photos before the release of medical request. Let us hope you will get updated request soon. I updated every thing in 2008 and still waiting. VO--New Delhi

AOR was in March 2006 & sumbitted my papers in manila. Ecas is still showing in process... Just waiting for notice of withdrawal from the embassy and refund hopefully.
