Guy,

I got a Nomination from SINP OID. My passport expires in FEB/2018.
I'm planning on sending all my documents in DEC/2016.

In IRCC site, the time to process the application is 16 months, it means it might surpass the passport expiration date.
It is clear that my passport has to be valid during this process.

The question I have is if I can send all documents with one passport number and then in the middle of 2017 get the new passport and send additional documents to IRCC.

Thanks.

Send all documents in one go.
After passport is renewed send the fresh passport (copy) along with the old one cancelled ( copy) thru web form.

Dear X,

Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

A passport must generally be submitted to support a Permanent Residence application and must be valid during the entire process of the application. If the passport expires during the process, the applicant will need to renew it and provide a copy to the office processing the application.

Sincerely,

Jaime, Agent 3752
