PR getting married to a non-PR. Should I inform CIC?

Hi everyone guys. I am a single Permanent Resident landed in 2016 here in Vancouver. This June, I am going to the Philippines to get married to a non-PR. Should I inform CIC prior to marriage about change in status? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Its important to update CIC on changes in your family structure if you have an application under processing, otherwise they don't care.

OP said in the first post he landed as PR in 2016. The previous answer was sufficient.

I didn't find it sufficient, so added onto it. Regardless of when he landed, he might have a sponsorship app open for parents. If not for him, its useful for anyone searching for related topics. Chill.
