Hi
Good day. Can you please advice.
I am 60 yrs. My PR card is expired on 14th march 2014.
The card was renewled again for 1 year, even I did not meet 2 yr stay obligation.
The extended PR card of one years is expiring by august 2015.
My son is canadians and working in canada and my wife already applied for citizenship. My daughter is canadian but studying medicine outside canada.

I am a Doctor and not not getting any jobs to earn in canada to support my daughter's eduction. I am the only earning member. That is why I am outside canada.
Question- will I get PR renewal again for 1 year, even I am working outside canada ?
(i am keep coming Canada every 3 months to see the family and staying short time)
As my card expiring by august 2015, when I should apply for renewal of my card ?

PLEASE ADICE
Thanks

It's unlikely to be renewed. The one year PR card is typically given when your status is being considered under H&C. It's quite possible that you may have been able to keep your PR status if you had stayed in Canada. However since you are working outside of Canada - I don't see there is any hope.

If you want to try to keep your PR status, you would need to return to Canada before your card expires and not leave Canada again until you meet the 2 year residency requirement.

Just to add - assuming you lose your PR status, your wife can certainly sponsor you for PR once you are ready to live in Canada permanently.

Thanks for the reply.
Suppose if I lost PR status and if I want to live with my family in canada, how long it take for my wife(citizen) to bring me canada again in PR status.
Now, Is there any possibility to renewl my PR card again if I explain my domestic obligations and reasons of not staying canada.
I appeciate your reply.

Thanks and regards

How long it takes to obtain PR status again will depend on your country of origin.

No - CIC won't accept the domestic obligations you mentioned as a reason for not meeting the residency obligation.
