PR Card Delay -- Under Verification

Hi All,

I completed my landing process along with my family on October 2013. It has been more than 3 months(90 days) now and we have not yet got any of our PR cards. I called the CIC last week and they said that my wife's and Son's PR card is under verification. They have just processed my PR card (which never went under verification) and have posted it on Feb 02nd 2014. When I asked what is the verification all about for my Wife and son, the CIC agent did not say anything but just said nothing to worry about as it is a regular process. When I asked the agent as to how long it would take and if there was any ETA, he said it could take weeks/months....and he was not ready to even tell the timeframe.

On what basis do they do the verification ?? We all landed at the same time together, then why are their PR cards under verification ?? I am starting to get worried now.

Relax youll recieve your pr cards soon just be patient I also have undergone through verification process I recieve my pr card after 117 calendar days .

for me it is almost 90 days and am without PR cards, in my case they said they have handed over my cards to Canada Post on Jan 23, meaning for almost one moth now they are with CP ! Just curious if some sort of verification is not going on with my cards too and been given a vague info
