My spouse doesn't have a family name in passport. While filling out the application, I found that Last nam is mandatory. In bank, OHIP and at other public offices, they put her given name in Last name and leave the first name as blank. I am not sure about the PR form. I called CIC and they suggest me the same i.e. put her first name in the Last Name and leave the first name as blank.
I just wanted to confirm if anyone else has encountered the same problem and what isthe mitigation of this problem.
