Hello

I have my passport stamped with say 10 january 2018 as expiry date of immigrant visa. So this is the date I have to enter before in Canada.

Now let's says I enter on 1 January. But the PR card takes about 2 months to receive. During this period after expiry of visa i.e. 10 January what can i show as my valid immigration document if asked anywhere? Is CoPR enough or do they give you some temporary document at port of entry until you get PR card?

I am asking because I would be doing a short landing close to my immigrant visa expiry.

Thanks.

I think this should be fine. I think you will get SIN on the day you land and that would be enough. Let's wait expert to reply on this.

Are you planning to depart Canada before receiving PR card? Then re-entry will be a problem.

If you are not departing and staying in Canada, COPR can be used as immigration document everywhere.
