Post Graduate Work Permit

I did a two year long masters program here in Canada. I graduated in May and applied for my post graduate work permit on the 28th of May. I haven’t heard anything and it says they are still processing my application and will contact me when they start reviewing my eligibility.
Is this a normal time frame?

The same issue with my friend, she applied for it on 20th of May, no update at all, I think because of the recent immigration applications, they are short of staff doing other applications, that’s why it’s slow now

I applied on May 13th and received approval on July 15th.

hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone can answer this question of mine - I have applied for PGWP on 9th April 2021 after graduating from a Canadian university in Jan 2021, and its still in progress. I want to do another course in Jan 2022 and want to apply for a study permit again as the current one expired. Can I apply for a study permit again if my PGWP is already in progress ??
