noo you dont once its part of caricom like tnt, ja, st Vincent, st lucia, Bahamas, suriname etc your free to travel however theres certain conditions like have to show proof of return to home country and the number of days your allowed to spend.

trying not to look too much into this but our app status changed to In Process on ecas... any thoughts on what that might mean? My gut tells me that if they refused that it would change to Decision Made... but I don't want to get my hopes up....

Hi Can-Vinc... I will chime in with my answer since no one else is around.

Personally from my reading here, I don't think In-Process means all that much in terms of accepted versus denial especially since you had an interview. I recall reading some peoples stories where they went in process and were subsequently denied when the status changed to decision made. I think most people go in process and that means file is in hand and is being reviewed/ they are actively working on your application. If your status changes to DM without PPR that would most likely be a denial. Watch out for PPR via email. PPR usually comes within a week of status changing to in process and in this case won't change to DM until the PP is returned to the person. Did they keep his PP at the interview?

Keep us updated... We are all on the edge of our seats too... Trying to be as patient as possible! I know this must be a very challenging time for both of you. Praying for you and I still have a really good feeling that everything is going to work out in your favour.

Finally got my PPR but cant renew my passport due to a mistake on my birth certificate, hopefully it will be rectified soon so i can get an emergency passport!

Behopeful, thanks so much for that -- I hadn't seen that so I've only seen In Process as positive so it is good to get that perspective. They didn't ask for his passport b/c he is Vincy and he needed it to fly back, plus she said that she had to go back and review the whole package with a senior officer and that we'd hear back in about a month. I will definitely keep everyone posted.
