ECAS In Process- Nov 2nd.

No meds request as yet. it seems like POS is taking a full 6 mths to process. if i were you i would call/ email... let me know if you get any updates, goodluck.

I guess they are. I called POS on Oct 2nd and the rep i spoke with advised they cannot answer any questions pertaining to spousal sponsorship. and that the application is in queue for review. An exact review schedule is not yet available. Are you sponsor or PA? thanks and good luck to you!

The only update she was able to see was that the file was received and its in queue for a officer to look at. that was the actual status. i asked her how long it takes and she couldn't comment as she said that's up to the processing officers and they don't answer questions or take calls. she also reminded me that this particular class has 1 year processing time and there is still a lot of time left. its really frustrating! hope to hear something back soon, at least medical request..

thats really sucks- I know a few persons who app took 5 months a few years back- seems like immigration process is getting longer even tho they are trying to "expedite" things.- same here married, no dependents. I hope you get a response from them soon, it is very mentally/emotionally and physically draining.

Hi Arob,

Thanks for sharing your timeline. i am currently sponsoring my spouse as well and application is still in process. We applied in June. i believe at this stage you received AOR2 (letter from POS Visa office) based off above, i guess you created online profile & submitted Police report. Did you also submit Sch A form? the next step should be medical request. We received this request about 3 months after file was transferred to POS. Sometimes request can be earlier than this time as every application is different.

Here is my timeline so far -

Hi,
Yes the Sch A was submitted with the police certificate as requested. So I guess now we look out for when they require the medical. Thanks and will keep everyone posted on the progress.
