Police Certificate Request

Hello everyone,

I would like clarification from members on the forum regarding Police certificate request from v.o. I have application of my brother pending at v.o and he just turned 18 a month ago. But they requested police certificates from country A and B. He left country A when he was 15 and he is in country B now.

My question is when I checked immigration guides on cic website they require police certificate from countries that applicant have stayed six month(s) or more since the age of 18. So, did immigration officer followed guidelines to require p.c for country A and B while the principal applicant have not lived more than six months since he turned 18.


Help and more clarification is appreciated.

I believe that they can ask for anything that they want. It may be unusual but I don't think that it's prohibited. You might want to raise a case specific enquiry to clarify the request.
