Congrats brother!! Our timeline is almost similiar. I sent my application on 21 july that is 3 days after and added my spouse in may 2017. medical passed in april 2018 Hope to get passport request soon. Just wondering did you get any update on cic account or ecas?
Thank you.. I had no access to my file as I had my representative so I used to call cic once in a week on 23 July 2018 they told me file is under final review and I used to log in on Client application status and on 2 August 2018 I saw decision made instead of in process and next day I got ppr in my gmail account.
I also called cic today and they told me background check is conpleted. My file is also under final review now. Fingers crossed hope to get golden email soon
am at the last step I guess is there any chances to get rejected?

Background of this question is very cristal clear my Background check is in process from 27 February 2018 Application is Simple and genuine but taking forever that’s why I feel fear that any chances of rejection thanks for your helpful answer
I haven't seen cases with rejection in PR process. If they find any discrepancy, usually they return the application in the beginning. But yeah Background check sometimes cause the delay. So there can be a delay but hopefully you will get it soon.
This wait is really frustating. Called 10 days ago and agent says everything including background check is done and the file is in final review. Then again called last friday and the agent again said everything is done but since the processing is longer than expected he is going to put a note on my file right away. But still under processing.

I've read a little bit and I am in shock right now.... How is it even possible that you've been waiting since summer 2016 or longer? I applied last summer (2017) and now I am concerned that my PPR will not come until summer 2019... this is just not normal... Crazyyyyy
Has anyone of you got an immigration consultant/agent to assist you when you've applied? Has any of you consulted with one after the deadline of 16 months past? Is there anything you can do to expedite the final decision on your application? there must be a way, right? what if your application just got lost/forgotten/misplaced/or someone screwed things up and unless you voice this issue nothing will happen? is it a possibility?
Or is it acceptable and absolutely nothing can be done on our end? Do we just wait and hope that our applications will be among 40% of the applicants whose applications successfully approved withing the deadline?? t
I am asking in case I wont hear from IRCC after 15-19 months from my AOR date?
