PNP - PR - Jan-Feb-March 2016 Applicants

I'm Jan 21 applicant.
BG check in progress since Apr and nothing.

I just received GCMS note yesterday and it says
Criminality is in progress but security is 'NOT STARTED'.
What do you think it means?

And my medical was passed before but it changed to 'IN PROGRESS' now.
Is it because my medical will be expired soon like end of Sep?

This is so ridiculous!!

Security not started??????
Wth are they doing..... I read here somewhere on this forum that it takes 6-7 months to pass after in process.
I hope that’s not the case here.

I called CIC and she told me that my application is being processed in Ottawa and she also remind me ensure the documents is still valid and will not expire with six months. Not sure when the officer will contact me

Create a new MYCIC account and link your application to your new account

I AM AN INLAND APPLICANT AND MY BACKGROUND CHECK CHANGED FROM NA TO IN PROCESS ON AUGUST 10. THERE WAS NO CHANGE IN MY CIC ACCOUNT AND I GOT TO KNOW ABOUT MY BACKGROUND CHECK CHANGED WAS FROM THE GCMS NOTES......... THIS WAS A LONG WAIT MY FRNDS.....

Hi, I have exactly the same as you Dec 2015 applicant. My background check is in process since forever but security is not even started. It worries me a lot because how much longer do they want to tell me to wait if they haven''t even started security.

Ive just seen in this website that PNP nomination for several streams has been paused this year:

Actually it is the pnp nomination and not at the CIC level, but also i wonder if it related to our current delay which started from May 2017.

hey, people here in this group have already passed that phase so no point in talking about the nomination. it is the background check and security which is delaying all the applications and if anybody knew what was the reason it wuld hv been a relief for all the delayed applicants here in this group.

Well, I have two friends. They are Jan 8, 2016 applied under inland PNP Ontario. They got PPR two weeks ago. I applied on the same day, not sure why I did not get it yet. Btw, they applied as a couple.
However, good news is that cic is moving.

I know all of this but anyways ... may sth happened indirectly ... just a thought nothing more.
