PNP - PR - Jan-Feb-March 2016 Applicants

It's really frustrating that I see lots of people who applied behind me get the PPR.
It is a good thing for them, that's for sure.
I just don't understand what is the sequence when CIC agent processing applications.
Especially based on the fact that I called them and getting informed everything has passed, just waiting for the finalize.
Jan 8, 2016 applicant here. I know there are some other early Jan applications or even December, 2015 applicants still waiting.
This is just not logical.

Are you having a complicated background (nationality, travelling. military, religion, goverment, politics) ???

Jan 7 applicant here. You are definitely not alone.

your background checking depends on your nationality... they may send your background checking to other agencies, which may result in delay. My Pakistani friend got around 8 months of background checking until he finally got Decision Made

Nope, I have been told that every eligibility assessments including security check had been done one month ago. My file was sitting the for the "final review before finalization"........

Thats bad. You can try mention your case to the local MP

Do not worry. I found that Jan applicants who got BG "in process" earlier are generally in worse situation. In your case, once you get BG change into "In Process", DM and PPR will follow up soon.

It depends on your nationality... and your travel history... that s why they take time.
But for me it s so strange that pnp isn t the faster track and even we are left to the end. They treat CEC inland then Cec outland then FSW then pnp inland and at the end they may treat PNp outland.
So strange

Have you contacted your MP?

I nearly went out of my mind at 15 months waiting for this thing to come; hell, at 6 months I was tired of waiting. I can't imagine 17 months waiting and still nothing.

What has CIC said when you contacted them? Did you?

I'd be hounding them every day. Contact an MP at once! This is not fair.

I haven't contacted them yet. I booked a trip to US from June 17 to June 20, 2017. So I might contact them when I come back to Canada.
Better not send me PPR during my trip in US, otherwise I will rush back to Canada to send the passport. Haha.
My work permit expires March next year, so I am fine with waiting a little bit. But I hope there's response by the end of this month.
Can anyone tell me what to mention if I want to contact MP?

So with my landing documents been missing with canada post i did contact CIC and they cancelled the COPR and requested me to send the documents to them for the reissurance. I just hope it wont go missing this time.... im beyond frustrated....

My case wouldn't be simpler.
Chinese, only traveled to US, no military, no religion, never worked for government or politics.
They told me everything has passed just waiting for the finalize.
