It's strange how PPR stopped coming after June 12

They can always let you use UPS or any other courier company.

Here is their statement in ppr email - "The self-addressed, pre-paid Xpresspost envelope must be from Canada Post. Please note that we will not return documents to a Canadian address via any other courier.".

Yes they can, but switching one vendor to another is not very professional. Rather they want to make delay but make sure it is secured and less confusing...

Ya but it cant be done fast to add a vendor which will/might through a vendor selection process within CIC's rules and regulations. So adding one vendor by a private organization itself will take time (thats why lot of contractors join the client through the preferred vendor(s) ) and with a govt body it would take more time and cant be done in days. Also a govt body will encourage/restricted to choose another govt organization for their services hence i dont think they will add any new vendors for mail delivery. This is not a trouble which they face often hence i am afraid that we will be affected by the strike.

I was talking to my friend about canada post strike and we are not seeing any ppr in our group for last 2 week because of it. She says express entry is still getting ppr. I tried to confirm that. Did anyone know something about that ?

15-25 days approximately

I also want to be wrong.
But CIC might wait till 30th as that is the deadline for Canada Post. It's taking two to three weeks to send and get back passport, so they might not want to put anybody in that strike, so they stopped since last few days. Anyways, this is my assumptions only....

Unfortunately, I'm afraid you might be right.

I feel very depressed. Hoping so much to get my PPR email by this week or next and seeing how everything is not Moving I think I'll have to wait probably 2/3 weeks more if lucky.

If canada post does not strike, we may get ppr sooner, otherwise, it may take long :'(
