Its not a major name correction, just the way my first name is spelled as in from HARJEET with 2 Es to HARJIT with an I.

In your case its a spelling correction rather then a change of name. I think you should be okay.

I remember you told me to contact bls for Pcc . I had such a hard time getting it done and end up cancelling my application . I asked my dad to get it made for me from India .he got that made in 2weeks and mailed me. Almost a month but u can always ask for extension from cic.

I asked my brother in India to explore the possibility from back home. I should have some news by tomorrow hopefully.

BLS was okay when I got my PCC from them last year under my current name but they were totally blank when I sought solution for my current problem.

Looks like AB is moving fast. My friend a May applicant was in process on February 21 passport call on march 05 and got his visa on March 25

it depends. I know ppl May 26 got PPR already, and friend applied on June 23 got DM couple days ago. But I am May 23 still in IP and no decision has been made....

I have a dependent (SPOUSE, back home). I am expecting my Medical Request soon. My question is that, will we receive the Request in a single email? I believe that makes sense too. But not sure, if it's going to be in a single email or she will receive it in a separate email.

U will get different mails for each dependent and urself. but all the mails will come at the same time.
Each mail will have a pdf file attached to it. It will be send via e-mail address u mentioned in the application.

Thanks indocanadian13, I guess you meant to say Emails, instead of Mails? I have filed via a Representative, so in this case my representative will receive both Emails at the same time, correct?

yes both emails at the same time. But different emails for each dependent.

As per the new rules as stated by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2015-02-09.asp):

The employer is required to:
1.) Fill out the attached form, and sign it
2.) Pay Employer compliance fees of $230 and send the receipt as a proof of payment
Both of which we will have to submit to CIC for extending work permit.

I am reproducing the relevant information from the above stated link as follows:
Recent update:
Employers hiring foreign nationals who are exempt from the Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) process will be required to submit information about their business or organization, the Offer of Employment form, and pay a fee to Citizenship and Immigration Canada.

The employer compliance fee has been set at $230 and must be paid online.

Refunds of employer compliance fees:
Should the employer-specific, LMIA-exempt work permit application be refused, a refund of the employer compliance fee will be required to be initiated by CIC or the CBSA following the standard guidelines.

I am May 13,2014 applicant, application received my online status untill today .

My passport was expiring in July so I renewed my passport. Please tell me how to inform cic about my new passport.

On the other side my Work permit is going to expire in June, Is there anyone knows how to apply my extension because I need to go to my back country soon.

I heard that custom at airport also provides workpermit, if your permit is going to expire soon. Is that correct? I am worried please help..

Does it work if i go to my back country and come back before june and then I will ask to extend my permit from custom authority at airport?

Been two months since my ECAS changed to In Process....!! No news after that...!!
I am an Ontario Applicant with AOR on May 05th 2014.
Any idea how long the wait will be? :-[

Me and my wife apply for the AINP on 20th June 2014. We got the file no on August 2014. But still we didnt get any answer from the AINP yet. (But one of my frd apply on Dec 3 2014 and he got the approval on 30 March 2015?????????? ) How come??
