Passport Validity Scenario:

-------------------------------------------------------

"guys just wanna ask...my husband passport will be expired Nov. 2014, currently in our application, me and my kids already finished the medical while my husband have his another x-ray by January next year, next week we are going to mail the NBI clearance required by the immigration, if ever we will be granted visa I expected it to March or April 2014, does my husband need to renew his passport? Our dilemma is that while we are waiting for his the passport to be issued ( 1 month processing) at the same PPR will arrive.what do you think guys....?"

-------------------------------------------------------

"The validity of the visa is one year from the date of your medicals received (correct me if I am wrong here, fellow posters, or was it from med request?). So, if your visa will be given in March or April 2014, you will only have 7/8 months left instead of 1 year on your visa. Additionally, your husband will still have to renew his visa 6 months before expiring as he might not be allowed to leave the country of origin with a passport of less than six months."

"It is better to renew his passport as soon as he completed his medical examination. By the time you receive your PPR, you already have his new passport in hand. My passport expires May 2014 and I plan to renew my passport as soon as I complete my medical examination. As I am waiting for my MR. I made this decision because of several advice from senior forum mates."

Hello Im newbie in this forum, i've already taken the ielts and started to create the online application. Id like to check whether they need bank statement with three months history or just bank certificate under settlement funds? Is it possible to send the bank certificate for now in the online application and will send the bank statement with three months history once they requested for the original documents? Pls advise :)

A tip from Lalabaul

-----------------------------

Guys Visa on hand, all thanks and praises to you Lord Jesus Christ! Thanks to all of you guys for consistently answering my queries here in the forum and pm Cheesy

We picked up our visa package earlier today due to an error in our contact details.
Its actually ready to deliver on nov. 28 but dhl texted the wrong number and there was no reply.
So they put it on hold and fortunately my husband called the dhl office yesterday, that's how we found out what happen and ask us our preferred arrangement.

So if after a week or two after DM change in ecas and no visa yet, feel free to contact the dhl. there's no harm in asking

Sharing with you all a sample response from MPNP:

----------------------------

Greetings,

The application placed in queue for pre-assessment. Once a decision has been made the applicant will receive notification in writing of the outcome.

The MPNP is based on a bilateral agreement with the Government of Canada which requires the province to thoroughly and consistently pre-screen all applicants to ensure that each nominee has a clearly demonstrated potential to become a successful economic immigrant to Manitoba.
This is why the MPNP processes the strongest applicants first by selecting those with confirmed employment, job-ready English, training and work experience indicating potential for employability and/or strong family connections.
Manitoba cannot guarantee processing times for any application because each application is assessed on its own merits and each requires follow-up with applicants and supporters to ensure program integrity.
Applicants who use the online application tool receive faster processing than people applying via regular mail (post).
Sincerely,
Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program

Dipanchokspi's Landing Experience + Tips

-----------------------------------------------

Hi House

I safely landed and did all formalities. Some useful information i want to share.

1. I got immigration check on Toronto and i asked for funds to carry as Cash/TC/DD and the lady replied that "I DONT KNOW Smiley BUT YOU CAN TAKE $10K." so dont worry for any funds.

2. Now regarding bank i surveyed many bank and found CIBC is best compare to all other banks as charges and quickly for CC. They have very good facility of depositing checuqe/dd like you need to take a pic thr' bank app and it gets processed in your a/c simple. No need to go in branch. I got a/c in just 15 mins with debit card. Now i feel faster and easy life Smiley At least for Winnipeg it is best.

3. Start preparing for computer test for driving license http://apps.mpi.mb.ca/dr_quiz/StartDrivingQuiz.asp?L=E. You need to go for class 5.

4. In downtown in Winnipeg there is Manitoba Start program, i guess all knows this. Just beside of that, you can apply for Health Card as they both are nearer to each other. I got it in 10 mins so my suggestion is go in between 3PM-4PM otherwise there will be long queue.

5. Oh for SIN on Toronto airport you can get in 30 mins for all family members, so make sure you do on Airport as once you moved to friend's/relative's house it will be little tough depending on their schedule.

forum mates, specially senior members tulong po regarding bank/demand drafts. what should we exactly tell to the bank if we want to purchase bank drafts.

here is the instruction for our RPRF

"the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) before we issued a visa. You must pay the amount of CAD$ 490 each for yourself, the principal applicant, and your spouse or common law partnet(if applicable). Dependent children are exempt.

Becuase rates of exchange vary, the fee accompanying applications "MUST" be paid by "BANK DRAFT" only in Canadian Dollars drawn on Bank in Canada showing the full mailing address of the bank in canada. bank draft must be valid for 6months and should be made payable to "THE RECEIVER GENERAL FOR CANADA" Bank drafts can be purchased at most banks"

how does this works? need help urgently.... our deadline for submission of passport is on 10th of May.
thank you

Hi NiqNok13, how about this option below:
-------------------------------------------

11 September 2013

This refers to your application for Permanent Residence in Canada. Your file has been transferred to the Case Processing Pilot in Ottawa for further review.

We wish to remind you at this time that if your Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) is outstanding, you must pay t his fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued . The RPRF will be refunded if the application is refused, if you withdraw your application or if you choose not to use your visa.

If you delay the payment of the RPRF, your security or medical results may expire, which would delay the issuance of your visas. We therefore encourage you to pay the RPRF as soon as possible, by following these steps:

· Go to the website: https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/welcome.do?lang=en

· Read the instructions on each page, and click “ Continue ” to proceed

· Select the “ Immigration ” link, followed by “ Right of Permanent Residence Fee ”

· You must pay this fee once for yourself as principal applicant

· You must also pay this fee for your accompanying spouse or common law partner, if you have one

· Enter the number of fee payments (1 or 2) in the box beside the fee of $490

· Click “ Submit ”

· Proceed to pay your fees by selecting “ Pay ” and then follow the instructions to pay with a credit card

Once the payment process is complete, the web site will display your official receipt in PDF format.

You must send the receipt to CPP-O. For fastest service, please attach it to an email and send it to the address CPPO-Cost-Recovery @ cic.gc.ca .

Please note : Passports for you and all accompanying family members must be valid at the time of visa issuance. If your passports have expired or will be expiring within the next 6 months, we encourage you to apply for new passports as soon as possible. Do not submit passports until CIC requests them.

Sincerely,

Citizenship & Immigration Canada

Just want to share the case of an applicant below, re: Language Proficiency:

----------------------------

Dear fellows;
Feeling of depression!
MPNP is getting harder and out of reach!!
Specialty for regulated professions- like teaching.
They are beating teachers and don't let cry.
Really got depressed.
Today I met a person who is a couple. Both are govt teacher.main applicant is 39 year old and is an M.A English with ielts score of 6.0 overall.
He has been kept in waiting for two years.And....
few days ago he has been gifted a reffusal.
Why Huh?.......
"You have a weak english proficiency.you can apply again when you got language pfoficiency.
You can not appeal against the decision ".
But he was not told what the exact language proficiency is.
