1) I have a temporary lmia exempt work permit which expires in 2 months. I also have IEC work permit that expires in 11 months.
I have applied for PR and received AoR.
How do I know if I am eligible for BOWP? I want to apply only if I am eligible, because don't want to get a rejection if I know I am not eligible.

2) My spouse is in my PR application as dependent and is on visitor permit which expires in 2 months. Can we use the AoR to apply BOWP for my spouse?

3) Our child is on visitor permit which expires in 2 months. Can I apply for any permit (visitor permit?) for my child using the AoR?

The reason is that I cannot have any family members accompanying me on my IEC wp, due to limitations that apply to IEC program. So I need to find a way to get valid status for my spouse and child.
Please let me know if you have any ideas.

basic info about the BOWP is here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/permit/extend/permanent.asp

Technically, the BOWP is only for the principal applicant. However, family members may be eligible for dependent open work permits / study permits / visit permits based on the principal applicant's permit, and can apply for them at the same time.

For your spouse to be eligible for an SOWP based on your BOWP, you would also have to show proof of YOUR full-time skilled employment (e.g. letter of employment, recent paystubs).

You are eligible to apply because you have current work permit expiring within 4 months, and you have submitted an application for PR and received your AOR. HOWEVER, your eligibility for the BOWP cannot be determined until your PR application has been reviewed for completeness (R10 completeness check). If your PR application is found complete, then your BOWP application will be processed. If your PR application is found incomplete, then it will be returned and your BOWP application will be refused.

HOWEVER -
I am not certain if or how the existence of your IEC permit affects the above scenario. Are you currently working for the employer named on your TWP?

Thanks for the reply.
I am going to stop working for the employer named on my temporary work permit in few days. I have already started a new job on my IEC wp.

I have few more questions:

- To apply for BOWP, should I just click on the "visitor visa, study and/or work permit" button in my cic account? How does cic know that I am applying for Bridge wp?

- After submitting PR through Express Entry and receiving AoR, how long usually it will take to receive "R10 completeness check"?

and what happens if CIC considers me in-eligible for BOWP, due to having the IEC work permit which is valid for longer than 4 months?
I know my BOWP (and my spouse SOWP and my child's visitor permit will be rejected then, but would that affect anything in future, e.g. my PR application?
