@Sunny_Sharma,

Did you receive the OINP Letter in your Online CIC Account? Since you have above 400 score, you would have received invitation to apply for OINP (Ontario PNP Programme). If yes, then try to apply for it. Though I am not sure, if they require some CLB 9 throughout or not. You can ask that on the OINP Thread.

Although PNP thing takes some time, but it is an option.
See http://www.ontarioimmigration.ca/en/pnp/OI_PNPNEW.html

Ontario stopped sending Notifications of Interest (NOIs) for the OINP Human Capital Priorities (Express Entry) stream effective February 16, 2016.
Ontario anticipates that it will receive its 2017 nomination allocation from the federal government before the end of November 2016, and the province expects to be in a position to accept applications for some streams in six months.
So no OINP for now.

Hi everyone,

I created my online profile on 25 may 2016 and need some help urgently.

Can you please advice me on how can I increase my CRC score.

My present score is 411 due to following factors:

TEF Canada CLB 9+ And 34 years old.

I have completed ECA from WES, Canada and have Bachelor degree Equivalence

I have 7 years of work experience.

Is there any other area where I can increase my score?

Please help.
If you had such a great score on TEF, i assume you could also do well on IELTS/CELPIP. That would get you some additonal poimts for second language.

Assuming that you will still be stuck below 450 regardless, PNP might be your only option going forward.

Hi Issoufa,

It seems you already have CLB9+ in all four sections. You seem to lose about 20-25 points because of age as it just gives you 75 (single)/83 (with spouse).
The maximum you can get by reappearing in IELTS/TEF test is 12 points (if you gain CLB10+ in all sections). That will still not be a par score of 450 as observed since last year.

Your work experience is also good and gives you max 50 points.

There are 2 possibilities -
a) Do you have some Diploma or Certificate after your Bachelor's degree and if yes, did you get it evaluated?
See this link - http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/eca-conversion.asp
If you have Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees post secondary education, and you haven't got it evaluated, then you should get it evaluated. If it falls in any of these categories, you may get 25 points for C. Skills Transferability factors.
- Post-Bachelor's Certificate
- Post-undergraduate certificate
- Post-Bachelor's Diploma
- Post-undergraduate diploma
- Graduate Certificate
- Graduate Certificate with a focus in [area of concentration]
- Postgraduate certificate
- Postgraduate Diploma
- Graduate Diploma with a focus in [area of concentration]
- Graduate diploma
- two-year Postgraduate Diploma, specializing in [name of discipline]
- two-year Bachelor’s after degree with a focus in [area of concentration]
- one-year Postgraduate Certificate in [name of discipline]
- one-year of graduate study with a focus in [area of concentration]
- Study Toward a Master's Degree
- Dual Bachelor’s degree (four years)

b) Try to get a Provincial Nomination - Usually above 400 points, you will receive a OINP invitation to apply for PNP Program under Ontario. That seems to be the second possibility.

Let us know if you missed something that might be useful. Also, share your breakup of points for more clarity.

Hi Issoufa,

Ok, I saw your ECA summary.
1) is your secondary certificate - so cannot claim any points for this
2) Completion of a college-level certificate (one semester) - Again, no mention in this regard for which you can claim any extra points
3) Bachelors Degree - Perfect. You already have scored points for this
4) One year of graduate study - Now this is something that you can claim points for. (please see word of advice below)

In the express entry profile, Pls select Bachelors for ECA evaluated degree as per your ECA report and select 2 or more degrees in your canadian certificate.
It takes a day to update, so please wait and see if the score gets updated.

One word of advice - There is a remark in the 4th case - The credential is not comparable to a completed Canadian education credential.
I am not sure what it means. Seems, you cannot claim points for this because it says it is not comparable to Canadian Education Credential. But I am unsure about this.
If you have already updated this in your express entry profile and the score is not updated, then they are not giving you points for this.

This category of more than 1 degrees/diplomas is very confusing and is always a point of debate between people. Check this message - This might help you http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/express-entry-in-a-nutshell-t394158.0.html;msg4938429#msg4938429

Thanks @ Akinoluwa,

Unfortunately I have already done that and now I am £60 under which I paid for a remark and it took almost 2 months !

Thanks @ dell2, at the moment IELTS and work experience seems the most optimal solution, however that means I have to wait another 10 months (present experience - 2 yrs 2 months) !! ???

Thanks @ m_alamin, I have done French as a language in my school and used to be quite good in that, however it's been a while now and I don't know how many points it can give me?
just try getting clb 9..improve on writing part. After 6 months you also get more marks for experience so you will be fine to get ITA.

Yes, I guess the site was not working for sometime yesterday. I also tried to access it. May be some technical error. I am able to login now but in between it gives not reachable error. And if I refresh it works. Seems CIC people are updating something or may be some technical issue at their end.

My IELTS score were:

If I increase my IELTS Writing score, how much better would my CRS score get?
Would you recommend doing the IELTS again?

Just one point. Writing 7.0 is already CLB 9. You don't need to retake IELTS.

Re: Please advice on how to increase my CRC score. + EE Profile ineligibility !

Hi guys,

After scoring more than 67 points and system showing that I am eligible under skilled worker (Express Entry) I submitted my online application on June 5th, 2016 with the following details:

Age - Under 30

Education - Masters in Engineering (Electronics)

ECA - Done (from WES, Canada)

Work Experience - 26 months (2.2 years) {With 14 months in India after my graduation and 12 months full-time internship in UK during my post-graduation on a sandwich course }

IELTS, General - Gave in March 2016, overall score - 8 (L 8, R 8.5, S 9, W 6.5)

Martial status - Never married

Planned funds to take with me - $13000 - 14500

Relative in Canada - Cousin (Toronto, Ontario with PR)

My CRC score as per the CIC application (mentioned on CIC page) - 408

I was planning to increase my work experience to 3 years and re take IELTS to boost my score OR apply for Ontario province nomination.

## In spite of all this I received an email from CIC last week saying that I am now NOT eligible for Express Entry !!! Shocked

Am I missing something???

Please guide me if you can spot any mistake..I am more than happy to upload any document here for more experienced members to have a look and guide me in right direction.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

P.S. - My abbreviations are not sharp, so apologies for any wrong short forms! Smiley

Wes should recognize your one year of graduate study. If it says no Canadian equivalency found then you can't claim point for it. There are instances where Wes did mistake and later recognized a study. So you should check with Wes why your one year study isn't recognized. Did you receive completion certificate? Does the certificate mention something like post secondary certificate or post graduate degree/diploma?
