The question is when I enter my date when I became a PR, I.e. Jan 17, 2018, and it shows me the eligibility period is between 2016-03-27 and 2021-03-26.
I didn’t have any other statuses prior to PR landing. Then I need to enter my absence days only within this eligibility period. Do I need to enter dates starting 2016-03-27 or starting my landing date 2018-01-17? I wasn’t even in Canada before Jan 17, 2018 in any status.

Just enter dates starting from 2016-03-27 and state that this was pre PR and you had no status in Canada.

I submitted the form with dates after I entered Canada for the first time. My eligibility period started from 2015-06-12, but I first entered Canada as a student in 2015-08-17. Since the question clearly asked when you left Canada, I thought well how can I leave Canada when I was never here in the first place. I did a calculation adjusting the missing dates from June 06 to August 17 and I still get more than 1095 days. I'll be having my interview in a couple of weeks probably. Will this be a major issue. I'm panicking

If you have reached the interview stage, you are good. If there was an issue, your application would have been returned a long time ago.
