PGP Number of Years for Income

Hi All,


I'm a permanent resident living in Canada since Sep 2015. I moved to canada from USA, I worked there for about a year before and I have been working since then.
My Question for you All, Do I qualify to apply for my parents for year 2018. Since I dont have all 3 years of income to prove that I can support them?
I have a stable Full time job and my wife also has a stable full time job (She worked in US for about 1.5 years before moving to Canada).

You will not qualify to apply for PGP until 2019. 2018 PGP requires you to meet income requirement for 2014 / 2015 / 2016 in which you haven't met 2014 requirement.

May be 2020 before you qualify to enter lottery, assuming your 2015 income from Canadian sources wouldn't reach LICO due to just being here a few months.

Income earned while living in the US does not count for income qualifying, so is irrelevant how long or how much you worked there. Only work when living in Canada counts.

As Rob has mentioned, unless you make more than 15,000 per month from Sept to Dec to meet the minimum income requirement for 2015, it is likely that you will not qualify until 2020 PGP.
