Hi, from what I read in order to bring your pet you must have proof it has had its shots, now.. for the rabies vaccination I read that it has to be 1 month at least from the time the pet had the vaccination before it's able too go..

heres the question if the pet has already had the vaccination which was a 1 year just ended, and if I just went now to get the vaccine for the pet again and left in a week, would they allow the pet to go across the border when I can show them both vaccine certificates?

I traveled with my dog a few times, from Canada to the US, through land border, and in all those times customs officer from both countries didn't bother checking for the dog's paper.

The first time I traveled, I offered the vaccination record to the customs officer, but he didn't want to look at it.

The officer said that it is for our own piece of mind that the dog should have rabies vaccination, because there are still rabies cases in the states.
My guess is you will be fine vaccinating only one week prior to traveling.
