Hello Guys,

Hope you are fine. I have a question for you regarding my case. I've searched for a definite answer on this forum but didn't find one. Ok, I'll shoot:

To be short, I've already received my CoPR (FSW Outland) on June 2018 as single applicant and planning to get married next month and will add my soul mate as dependant. As Police Certificate takes nearly two months in my country to get, my girlfriend has already applied and got PCC on her maiden name. After wedding, her passport and ID Card will be changed to reflect her new married name and her maiden name will be ruled out completely on all documents except the PCC.

Will this be an issue if PCC is on her maiden name, not the new married name?

Thank you Guys in advance for your answer

Nope, you would need to show old passport copy as proof of name change.
Sorry , I forgot to mention that it will be a civil/court wedding. So in the end, a mariage certificate will be in our hands.

So, no need to get a new PCC with married name then?? Just worrying about that as PCC take so much time here :( and we will have limited time to submit our documents following my status change to CIC.

No need to get a new PCC. You can provide marriage certificate as the proof for name change. Also submit the docs with the old name as well.

Thanks a million to both of you !! Much appreciated.

One last question for the road...

While adding my wife as a dependent, can I use her new married name to fill the IMM Forms? Even if on PCC and passport, her maiden name is printed?

Will you not change her name in her passport also?

Yes. I will do so on Passport and ID Card only
Then you have her changed name in the passport as well. So, submit the marriage certificate and both of her passports. That should be enough.
