Payment of fees by cashier's cheque from abroad and IMM 5401

If I want to pay the fees by cashier's check from a bank outside of Canada in Canadian funds do I need to order this IMM 5401 and have it sent to me overseas? Can someone clarify this for me, please?

And just to double check (no pun intended), we don't need the IMM 5401 document if we are paying outland?
