Passport to Expire in March 2020

I have a question regarding the application for Citizenship.

In the application, I provided information of only two available passports. I need to renew my current passport. Will that affect the outcome of the application when my passport expires?

Should I renew my passport first or apply for citizenship while my passport is still valid (5 months on it)

The validity of your passport has no effect on your citizenship application.
You don't even need to send an update to IRCC if you renew it. Just have all your passports with you during the interview. And in case you don't, "I didn't renew it because I have no intention to travel" during the interview will be more than enough.
