I got an email requesting for passports today. It says that I have to send in my documents in 15 days. However, I have a planned international trip on Nov 28th- Nov 30th. CIC told me that there is no way they can send back my passports if I sent out today.
Now here are my two questions:
(1) Can I send the passport via Canada Post to the LA office including my passports on the 30th (last day) before postal office closes? Would the stamping data matter or would the receiving day matter?
(2) Can I send over the passport via Canada Post with prepaid Fedex prepaid envelope? I read in the email that Canada Post Xpressport can't be used as prepaid envelope, but would they accept the main-in via Canada Post and do the return with a different courier, in this case, Fedex?
