Hello all,
Last week i got an update on my ecas that decision has been made on my file and cic also send me email asking for Fees payment and sending my passport to them. But there is a problem, In the beginning of the month I applied for the renewal of my passport @ Pakistan consulate at Toronto. After applying for i come to know that Pakistan is facing a HUGE problem with printing of machine readable passport and they have created a huge backlog of 750,000 passport and growing each day.. it can take upto 3-4 month to receive our new passports(for urgent request) which is crazy!!! and i can't do any thing about it nor the consulate office in TORONTO.
Now, CIC has asked me to send my passport in 60 days and i currently hold my Passport(which was originally used for my PR application) which has stamp saying "Fresh passport has been requested at Toronto" and their is no Cancel or any other stamp on my passport from Consulate office since i had my work visa on it.
The question is can i send this passport which has a stamp saying "Fresh passport has been requested"? will that be okay since it is still valid for 1 good year??
