passport lost in mail ????

Hey buddy, I did some research about lost mail. There are people Lives in Vancouver waited over 6 weeks for passport to be returned from LA CIC office. I really do believe that it not lost, you can also send a email ask them if they send it back with registered mail.

Provide a self-addressed envelope. Please note that regular mail to Western and Eastern Canada can take up to three weeks for delivery.



* CANADA POST XPRESSPOST: If you prefer Canada Post Xpresspost , please enclose with your application a PRE-PAID Xpresspost envelope. Complete the mailing label on the return envelope showing the Windsor Post Office Box address in the "FROM" section of the mailing label (Canadian Consulate General/IMM, 401 Ouellette Avenue, P.O. Box 940 Station “A”, Windsor, ON N9A 6P2 CANADA. Make a note of the tracking number for each envelope. TO be honest, I know it is hard for you wait patiently right now, but according to my own experience, It is absolute normal to take more than 4 weeks to be delivered to your house. I can't count how many times that Canada post had delivered mail to my house way over the deadline. It is just over 3 weeks, it will be fine.

One step backwards, If things happened, I would only think that it got lost in the mail if it is over 6 weeks and still not coming back.
This is not the first time it happens, I heard that CIC wants the person to go down to states, I think you can probably get the visa in person over there. You can apply a new passport and US entry visa, then you can get it from buffalo office there in person.

Just be calm, don't panic, It doesn't help anything,

My lawyer she did a mistake ,,i told her to send a canada post express mail enevelope,,but she did not read that instructions which i got from detroit,, along with passport request

Im on my 4th week waiting for our passport to be return to us from LA consulate. Sent them an email but no reply. I also included a courier envelope inside. Dont know what to do. In the original email passport request it was stated there that it will take 15 business days but I'm beyond that now.

Have you received your passport back from LA consulate? My passport has reached LA for more than 15 business days. I sent a inquiry email and am waiting for their response.

They received the our passport Jan 31 2011.
