Do we have to book an appointment at passport office if we need urgent processing?

What extra documents are needed for urgent processing?

Just walk in at any Passport Canada office, no appointment necessary. Show air line ticket for urgency. No other extra documents needed. Your guarantor and references should be available to answer their phone call.

Thanks; And do we have to have valid (reasonable) reason for urgent processing? For eg travelling for leisure is NOT a valid reason?

I think only airline ticket is good enough no questions asked you are Canadian citizen with mobility rights.

The reason of the travel doesn't make any difference.

no extra documents needed just extra payment for urgent processing, I think its extra $120 for one day processing, I'm not sure with the exact amount but I'm 100% sure it will cost extra if you want it urgent.. if you don't go within 2 weeks, I suggest just apply in person regular peocessing it will take only 7-10 business days, I received mine within a week didn't pay extra for urgent.. but of course if you want it asap then do it in person with extra payments, guarantor ready to answer their phone call and show them your airline tickets..best of luck

Exactly 6 business days.. applied friday feb 5 applied in person passport office, received it Monday Feb 15, 10 regular days but its 6 business days to be exact

did you pay extra for urgent processing? I'm sure it will be ok on time for your trip, did you let them know? they usually asked if you have upcominh trip because they take extra consideration anyways best of luck
