Parents Super Visa Mar 2024 Timeline

Hello, Im sharing my mom’s supervisa application timeline:

Applied: March 4,2024
Biometrics letter: March 4, 2024
Biometrics Completed: March 6,2024
Medical Request: March 18,2024
Medical done on: April 5,2024
Medical Passed: April 15,2024
Eligibility: Completed May 14 2024
Background Check: In progress
Final Decision: Application is approved May 14,2024
Passport Request: May 14,2024

I applied through the IRCC portal and also registered through tracker.
I also opted the installment plan for supervisa medical insurance with a deposit.

Seeking advice regarding my mother's ongoing Super Visa application:

My mother already has a Canadian visitor visa and she has travelled here twice for 5 months each. We initiated her supervisa in Feb 2024 so that she could live here for longer period. She gave her medical tests on 7th April 2024 and she was asked to give few more tests, Her creatinine levels were reported as high 1.9. She was asked to give a test to check for TB which didn’t get anything abnormal and we were told by the hospital that reports are fine, but after a week we got an email to get her retested for Creatinine and Urine examination after 2 months. When we consult our doctor at Fortis hospital, they have told that although her creatinine is high but nothing alarming at her age and this has been stable for last 6 years. They have done some more tests but nothing can be done immediately to reduce creatinine levels.

  • If the doctor gives us a recommendation that my mother’s kidneys are stable and there will be no such alarming risk, will that be relevant when she will go for her test. What are the chances for her to get the Super visa done?
  • Secondly, if her supervise gets rejected, her visitor visa will still remain in place and will that too be effected?
Pls advice on this

a) who sent u the email for retesting of urine samples- IRCC or fortis hospital?

if IRCC - then follow the instructions and let her do all the requested tests. Hospital will submit the reports to IRCC itself and rest is the IRCC to decide. You can’t do much here.

if fortis hospital- then may be the urine samples weren’t collected correctly initially /or hospital need further samples to make some conclusion. Follow the instructions. U have no option.

b) super visa and visitor visa aren’t interlinked. So outcome of one application doesn’t affect the other

Can someone please explain step by step how to track the application on tracker ? I see some of you here are tracking it on tracker but I wasn’t able to do the same. Applied through portal.

I think you should get it updated/corrected on the passport. Its going to be a problem even while travelling. If the name on the Visa and Passport differ its going be a problem everytime their visas are checked.

And if the one on the passport is Correct, and it differs on some other document you are uploading, just add a attested document letting them know about that

Got final decision on my mother's super visa application today.

Background Check : still shows In process on tracker

Applied: Mar 19
Biometric Request: Mar 20
Biometrics Given: Mar 22 (updated the same day)
Eligibility completed: Apr 29
Medical Request : May 23
Medical done: May 27
Medical Passed: May 30
BVL and PPR: May 30
