My sincere apologies if you are reading this post again but I am reposting because am still waiting to hear any expert advise on this...

Dear all,

I am preparing for the documents for sponsoring my parents and I have arranged the following docs so far. Can anybody please comment / advise if I have missed anything.

Documents required (parents)

• 4 pp size photographs each
• Passport photocopy
• Birth certificates (for both)
• Marriage certificate
• Aadhar card / votors id card (for both)

Documents required (me and my wife)

• Citizenship card / PR card photocopy
• Birth certificates (me only)
• Marriage certificate
• Passport photocopy
• NOA for 2010, 2011 and 2012
• Letter of employment (both)
• Pay stubs for the year 2013

Other Documents

• Fees receipt
• All relevant forms (updated on 31st December)

Questions :

Do I need to send the attested photocopies of the documents? Does it matter if I send the non attested ones?
Should I prepare a cover letter explaining missing 2013 NOA (obvious reason)?
Medicals and Police clearance certificate will be needed later. Am I right on this?

thanks in advance.

hi disisme

i am reading your post , and i am filing the parents sponsorship applcaiton for next yr
is birth certificate required for parents ?
i am reading the supporting documents but i dont see it requested.

the reason i am asking is my wife's parents are from china, and back in the 50s there is no birth certificates (according to them)

No..not required. Mainly for child which shows parents name, as for them passport is enough

thanks user 828, very helpful
looked at your status.. congratz on yr recent approval from cic

few more questions
question 1
sponsor name will be my wife... cosigner will be me (i m canadian)
the principal applicant will be her mother (IMM 1344 form)
i dont need to list her father in any of the IMM1344 form because i will put him in schedule A form, correct ?

question 2
so technically- schedule A IMM5669- i need to prepare 2 copies, one for her mom and her dad
also, my wife has a sister too.. she is 24 yrs old, although she is not qualify for the PR , i still have to submit her information in schedule A as well ?
so in total 3 copies of schedule A IMM5669 ?
