Carefully fill other sections and then email receipt and above form to the address on the form

It takes abt a month, you will get around 30 page notes with lot of coded info which you can ask us here or search the site

Your post took my eyes for a sec. I was given a file number with Fxxxxxxx format a while ago. However, I haven’t received any sponsorship approval after I submitted the requested additional documents in Feb, 2012. My original application was submitted in Oct 2007. I was just curious if Fxxxxxxx file number indicates that the sponsorship part is approved and transferred to Ottawa or LVO, just curious from your post. Please asdvise.

Everyone has it with F00XXXX ( typically its the FILE # ) and most of us saw it when our files got approved and xfered to LVO or CPP-O. You will find from the GCMS notes that paper file starts with B

Well, I was provided with the Fxxxxxxx file number in June because I went to my MP and complained that I didn't even receive any acknowledgment after submitting the additional documents in Feb. My ecas was changed from one line to two lines of "Application Received", and that is about it. I called CIC on regular basis, but they kept saying "we are working on it......" but no single letter or email from them as to what step of the process my application is. very frustrating!

i have one question, hope some one help me. My mother visited Canada in january and returned to india in june. i sent addition documents on feburary 2012, mentioning my address in canada.received a letter dated april 2, 2012 that i met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. and my my case was transferred to New Delhi. On May 9, 2012, i received an email for medical and some additional documents from Ottawa. Medical was done in may, 2012 in Canada additional documents sent to Ottawa on june 2012. Ecas status changed to medical received in june 2012, my mother left to India in june but i did not change my address to India. my question is how i can know where they are processing my case In India or in ottawa. do i need to change her address for correspondence to india . I also sent representative form. any information/ suggestion appreciated.

If your medicals came from Ottawa, your file is in Ottawa. Just email Ottawa that your mother were visiting Canada and now left for India. No need to change any address, as you are a representative. All communication will flow through you. However, check your parents home address on e-cas using their file #, if the address is Canadian address, mention that in your email that your parents home address is now Indian address. So that when PPR comes, CPP-O can ask your parents to submit passports to New Delhi Embassy.

Hi to all .i called the lawyer in ludhiana,india he confirm that upto dec2007 people got medical letter whether they have dependent or not. So my is april 2008 some time to go

Hello Folks,
I have another news to share! My dad received an email today asking to submit passport for the next steps in the processing. Also email advised to submit passport through VFS and that passport will be returned within 7 days if everything is in order. I guess I am close to the finish line now. Thank you all for your feedback and information!

Hi!
I have great news to share: CPP-Ottawa approved our application and a visa will be issued but the estimated timeline is not available at this stage.
My MP said if I have not heard from CIC by end of this month to contact them again.
So finally the waiting is almost over!

I also enquired through my MP, initially at the end of August, to confirm decision made. The response to my MP from CIC at the ned of August was similar..."visa should be issued in a matter of weeks, if you haven't heard by end of the month ask again". So, I did. My MP's office is currently trying to get more information. I will post again as soon as I hear back. I'm not sure what is taking CPP-Ottawa so long. As far as I know, CPP-Ottawa have not yet actually issued COPR. They have requested passports only. As my parents are visa exempt, they do not require a visa counterfoil to be affixed to their passports, so in theory would just require a COPR.

Is this is the Trend? all CPP-O folks whose PR decisions have been made but no news afterwards are visa exempt and just need COPR.
