Finally passport request came today by letter mail,on the ecas it says decision made but the letter we received today say
This refers to your application for admission to Canada.An officer has determined your application is ready for final decision.Ir order to continue processing you're application please submit a valid original passport for the principal applicant and each accompanying family member.
two recent photographs as well for principal applicant and accompanying family members..

confusing factor is why don't they mention that the application is approved on the letter, but ecas says decision made.

experienced people please advise

I also got passport request and under the ecase it says decision made
We will be sending the passports soon how many days does it take for
The passports to come back
After you get the visa how many months do you get for landing

Hi Guys, I have a question to ask for sponsoring my mother in 2016.

1. Can I be a representative on her application? (I mean I m not using any agent or consultant but filling up forms myself for her and I'm the sponsor)

Yes sure you can be the representative and you could also ask to get all correspondence with you through giving your own email address and canadian mailing address
I did fill all forms myself and was representative for them
It worked and make sure you keep all copies of forms you fill and make sure you also send completed forms and supporting documents that show you as her daughter like any type of documents showing you and her relation with you
Pictures of you since childhood till recent ones caption them etc

Passport request received via email on 23 November and submitted to VAC Lahore on 24 November.

SO happy now!
My parents finally received their visa after 6 lonnnnnggggg years!

They called my parents over the phone and asked if they can go to Canada within 2 weeks or else they would need to get their medical again.
This part is kind of frustrating when they take forever to make a decision and when they finally make the decision give you no time whatsover to prepare.

Anywayyssss, it's all good now...All is well that ends well!

they told us they can take approximately 1 month and usually i have seen cases they return in 10 to 15 days and sometimes it takes 1 month. to let u know i have checked CHC Islamabad twitter they mentioned the visa office will remain closed from 25 to 27 November that's y it is taking time for u and us.soon they will resend inshALLAH.
can u tell me whats ur status of tracking in vfs website?

eCAS is not totally reliable, and many times it does not get updated.
So don't rely too much on it for hints.

You can either try to track ppt status on vfs site, or perhaps give them a call to find out if ppts are back.
No harm in calling them for status updates.

Dependent Children of Parents Being Sponsored

Hi everyone!

I have an urgent question. I am a new sponsor, trying to apply for my husband's parents (my in-laws). They have one daughter aged 17 who is healthy in all sense and not married and clearly a dependent child as she is living at home with her parents doing her education. My question is would she be able to accompany her parents (my in-laws) to Canada; would CIC grant her a visa as well, along with my in-laws, since she is a minor and a dependent?

Please advise. All your answers would be much appreciated!

Yes she would be granted a visa as well as long as she remains unmarried until the application is completed. This could be a few years. currently it takes about 5-6years hopefully in the future the processing times will come down.

Thank you so much for the clarification, that really helped clear out some things for us. And yes, she definitely will not be married for years to come as she is a quite ambition student and wants to go far with her education and eventual career.

Dear Nabeel, VFS sent us an e mail with tracking number and a link. That is the link where we provide tracking number and date of birth to find the status of passport.
Hopefully this week will bring some good long awaited news....
