Hi All,
I know it is too early and one can call me very optimistic. Since I am new and want to apply for parents PR, can someone help me with the steps and forms to fill before the pool opens again. As I saw posts, CIC is still inviting from 2019 pool that means, I have to wait until new pool opens. But wants to know some basic steps on the process.

TIA..
They just finished this year’s applications. We have zero idea what next year’s will look like. It does appear that there is a move to prioritize people who have waited the longest, applied the most times, etc. There is nothing you can do to prepare but earn enough money. I would look at LICO levels for 2019 and 2020 and then add inflation for the past few years to anticipate LICO levels if they return back to normal Vs the special Covid rates.

Hi folks ,How much is the time for the first step i.e. sponsorship approval. I just applied on Dec 12, when would we hear back from them about our application that application is complete and they have started processing further?
Estimated processing time is up to 3 years. This is a very slow process where you may not hear anything for a full year during the process. This isn’t family sponsorship where things happen slowly but much quicker than PGP.

All trackers are inaccurate. They never provide any realistic stats

Agree that they are often in acreage but processing times have increased dramatically over the past few years. Most PGP applications used to be processed in close to 1 year. Most PGP applications are now processed in 2-3 years. Very rare to be processed in close to 1 year. Any don’t even hear anything for a full year sometime during the PGP process. People need to realize that this is a long process so one shouldn’t focus on when you can expect the next step like in family sponsorship.

Hello Dear. IRCC send 23,100 Invites to fill in 15,000 spots. Approximately 155,313 people applied to receive the Invites. After filling in 15,000 spots there will still be ( 155,313-15,000 = 140,313 ) applicants leftover in the previous pool. As we all know that IRCC is not accepting any more Interests to sponsor for the last couple of years. Looks like they want to clear the backlog. Simple mathematic calculation reveals that it will take (140,313/ 15,000) = 9.4 ............which is approximately 9 years from now till they start accepting more Interests unless IRCC increases the intake from 15,000 to a bigger figure.
Best would be to call your Parents on Super Visa.

Unfortunately message is clear. They want young people to work not senior citizens. That is why they set up quota system. Someone should challenge this in court. No develop country does this to citizens

Anybody knows whether CIC is going to send out the invite throughout the day? Or just in the morning? So sick of checking my inbox every minute. Hope I will get picked this year, has been applying for over 5 years and still no luck =/
Any Luck?

Thanks for the clear explanation, one thing I don`t understand is does that mean we have to wait for interest to sponsor application to open again? 9 years? It is a bit too extreme, do you know how often they accept interest to sponsor applications in the past?

One small correction, IRCC sent 23,100 invites expecting at least 15,000 complete applications. If all 23,100 applicants sent complete applications that qualify then all 23,100 will have to be approved by IRCC. So for now, I would safely assume that 155,313 - 23,100 = 132,213 applicants are in the pool. Only 2023's data will give a clear picture.

Hi all, I also received an email from IRCC asking to resubmit IMM 5476 (Use of a Representative) using hand-written signatures. I did the whole print-->sign-->scan-->convert to PDF process and emailed it back to IRCC as an attachment. It's been over 3 weeks and I still haven't heard anything back about whether they've received my new form.

A thought occurs: nowhere did the email from IRCC mention any size limit on attachments, but I do recall when first submitting my application that the portal has a size limit of 4MB per file.

Do you think the same 4MB size limit applies to documents emailed to IRCC? Mine is slightly over at 4.3MB. I would hate for my application to be returned or rejected due to something as trivial as this.
