Hi Everyone, quick question. I am sponsoring my mother and her husband but there is a chance that they get separated in the middle of the application and then the husband decides not to come (also there is a probability of divorce). How should I proceed when they get the fingerprints/medical-test requests? Should I just leave it like that so that the husband simply does not just show up or do I need to withdraw his application?
In your situation, you would have to apply for both (assuming that they are legally married you have to apply for both, and you can't apply just for your Mom in this case); but while the application process is going on, if they get divorced before the final decision, you will have to notify IRCC about it. You might have to provide a copy of legal/ divorce document. After that IRCC will remove your Mom' husband from the application.

Thanks!, and based on your experience, will this cause an issue? will it delay the application? Thank you so much!

It might delay the file by just a bit!
Thanks!, one more question. What if he decides not to come but they have not legally divorced yet?

Hi Guys, there is a form that asks the Principal Applicant (My mother) to provide her National ID Document number. She is living legally in Spain as a temporary resident but she is a citizen of Venezuela. Should she provide her National ID from he country of birth? or from the country she currently lives in?

that's fine, he is not obligated to come. just make sure your income is sufficient to "cover for him" as he will be part of your undertaking. i'd also include a LOE explaining the situation in the first place.

If the passport is in English you dont need it notarized.

You dont need to include all pages. Just the page with their name and photo and bio details.
I spoke to an agent over the phone from IRCC. She recommended me to send a copy of the applicant's passport with ALL pages. It might not be required but it was recommended.

Folks need some help with checking status.
Is there a way to find out the UCI number from Visitor Visa stamp.
I applied for my mom and dad and didnt mention the UCI number as it was not mandatory.

Let me know what did you do please. I also didn't fill UCI on IMM0008. And, my parents already signed and send the form to me. I just don't want to let them resign, because they live too far from Canada. Thanks.
