Parent's passport needs to be valid for at least 18 months? My mom's passport is expiring in Jan 2020 and my dad's passport will be expiring in Mar 2020. They are in Canada right now but will be going back to India in Aug and will apply for the renewal, will that work?
Please some answer this
You can apply for Indian Passport Renewal 1 yr before its expiry. Anywhere in the world.

EI parental benefits are not social assistance. It counts as income on line 150 of your NOA.

Birth certificate should suffice. You may be asked later about the dependant’s physical/mental condition that makes that person dependant on the parents.
Thank you. But in this case the likelihood of the application to be rejected is high, isn’t it?

Can’t say since I don’t know the particulars of your case, but it’s on you to prove this person is a legitimate dependant.

Also, bear in mind that all have to pass medical exams. If a dependant, even if not accompanying, doesn’t pass, then everyone is rejected.

Does anyone know if they are accepting only 20,000 complete applications? Or just all complete applications received?

my husband is a co-signer. Do we complete 2 separate Income Sources For Sponsorship Form or just the one form with both of our information on it?

I think they have already worked out how many complete applications they think they will receive from sending out 27,000 invitations.

And that number is below 20,000. So there might even be a 2nd draw.

But the short answer is they will accept all complete applications received from those who are invited to apply.

That’s the case because no documents are required to prove he is no burden for the country and the application will be rejected. Thus, we won’t have the chance to provide the necessary documents to support his dependence that are already required for the 2nd round. Do I get it right? Thank you

Just Saying I wrote 2 for me and my wife, but you can go ahead and state what the agent told you, I interpreted this as family size in Canada at that point of time, since my parents were in India
I had the same understanding...family size in that period with the income you had.
