But you made it sound like all the oversea income doesn't count because you emphasized it a few times without condition.
You seem like a person who likes to argue and win.
I am done with you about this subject.
In every single post I'm also stating it does count if you are residing in Canada while it's earned. It's not my fault if you can't read the posts properly.

I argue when people like you post factually incorrect info, possibly causing people harm if they think they qualify to sponsor when they really don't

I don't think anybody would take the information here without verifying. Nobody here was born yesterday. And what makes you to be the trustworthy one here?
Please remember people here taking time to try to help other people. They are not here to take your accusing and abuse. Please watch your language next time.
Enough said.

I am posting specific links to IRCC manuals that back up everything I'm saying. It doesn't matter if you believe what I say, just read the manual I linked to verify.

You are not helping people by posting factually incorrect blanket statements.

Sponsor does not need NOAs, if co-signer has them.
That's an interesting information.

What I have observed on IRCC website is following Note:

If you are applying in 2017, you must provide proof of income from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the taxation years of 2016, 2015 and 2014.

How to fulfill the proof of income from CRA if the sponsor was not registered with CRA. I can understand that Co-signer can help the sponsor to meet the LICO figures , if sponsor is falling short on numbers but How can a Co-signer make the sponsor "eligible" with his/her presence?

If that works, why IRCC doesn't allow to sponsor In-Laws directly like parents and grand parent?

Curious to know your point of view.

Why would a minor coming to CA would sponsor their own parents?how did they came?by themselves?minors?

He is saying that most of us emigrated to CA and worked before coming here. Skilled worker program needs experience, so you worked somewhere before applying.
They might want to be reunited with their spouse's parents or their parents in Canada. With regards to your second question, they might come as an international student in Canada at first and then later got PR / citizen. In either cases, they want the spouse's parents to live in Canada or their parents to live in Canada. What's your problem?

You guys don't think those minors would one day grow up, get married and co-sponsor their spouses' parents to immigrate to Canada? Look at cocoa's post, he said everybody - not most of us work before coming here. Family sponsorship for example don't require experience, so one might not had worked somewhere before applying.

Do you know the difference between "everybody" and "most of us"?

So for example if I married my Canadian boyfriend in 2015, he sponsored me to become a PR in 2016, arrived in Canada in 2016, entered the lottery, got chosen, I filed zero income for 2016 coz I did not have income, he met the LICO for 2014-2016, then I can apply to sponsor my parents using his income?

My child is 2 months old. Can he be the sponsor?
Hi APAK, check first rule of eligibility on IRCC website. No a minor can not be sponsor or Co-signer.

Sponsorship eligibility
In order to sponsor, you must…
  • be 18 years of age or older;
  • be a Canadian citizen, Registered Indian or permanent resident;
  • be sponsoring a member of the family Class;
  • live in Canada;
  • sign an undertaking promising to provide for the basic requirements of the person being sponsored;
  • sign an agreement with the person you are sponsoring that confirms that each of you understands your mutual obligations and responsibilities;
  • prove that you have sufficient income to provide the basic requirements for your family members in Canada as well as the persons included in your sponsorship undertaking. You may also have a co-signer.

Hi every one, I have two questions
We got the invitation, it has asked the the NOA or OPTION C for the 2014, 2015, 2016 TAX YEARS
So this means, the whole 2014, 2015, 2016 year.

Also can we apply for super visa, while it is in process..

Answers.

1 - Whole or half year, doesn't matter. You alone or You + spouse have to meet the LICO for that year and need to submit the NOA for that year & 2. Yes.

Lol thanks

OK so I can apply then? I have NOA for 2016 and 2015. Husband has NOA for 2014 2015 2016. Husbands income is above LICO individually for all three years.?

Second question- u have to be a PR for 3 years to apply for parents?
no, you do not have to be a PR for 3 preceding year prior to application but you have to have files NOA for 3 preceding years, may be as work permit holder. You need to be PR while you are submitting the application. What you need is 3 NOAs meeting the LICO.

hello friends, i got a invite to apply for my parents :) indeed a very good news for my family !
as this is a long thread has anyone summarized does or donts for the application?

any input for starting the application will be much appreciated.
A short summary

1. Collect preceding 3 years NOA form your MY CRA account. If your spouse is Co-signer, also collect his/her NOAs.
2. Collect your parents Passport, Photos, Identity proof, Marriage certificate, Your birth certificate, Your familiy's PR/Citizenship proofs, Your acceptance e-mail with bar code.
3. Complete all forms as mention din check list. Make sure you submit certain forms , individually for both parents
4. Arrange everything as per Check List.
5. Send it through courier or Canada post. Note the addresses are different for each. If using Canada Post, there is an option for some text message for receiving confirmation for piece of mind, use that.

Wait for AOR form IRCC ( will take 30-40 days ) and then Sponsorship approval ( 20 more days). If they will need any additional documents, they will send an email in between. Need of additional document can delay the SA process. After that CIC will send the application to your home country visa office or Ottawa.

If your parents live with you in canada on super visa? what do you write as the current address for the applicant? the canadian address or back home address where they go only for sometime (lets say 30 day in an year) ??

Can someone help me with that ?
I believe you need to enter the address of their primary residence back home. On super visa they're just visitors so the address in Canada isn't their primary residence.

Hi Spy118, several of our friends here in the excel sheet has their parents living in canada and have used canadian address are their present address. because if they use home country address, the communication may be missed as they are not living there. For the matter of Police check, they would have to submit PCC of home country anyways, so it is mainly for communication and sending passports back in the end of application.

IMHO for cases like these; the sponsor should assign themselves as the representative and use their Canadian address (or email) for all correspondence while still entering the home country as the actual address for the parents. That will ensure no correspondence is sent out to the postal address back home.

Sponsor does not need LOAs if co-signer has them all and meets LICO.
I tend to disagree on this point but if you can educate me more , that would be great.
