I landed in Calgary on Nov 1, 2012. I and my wife had 3600$. Visa officer asked us how much money do you have we said 3600$. He said should i write 1800$ each. We said yes. And he has mentioned 1800 CAD on our landing paper.

He didn't ask us about any POF or anything like that.

dear cocknbull i have received NOC from the license authority of Khushab. The problem with the NOC is that its not on the Letter Head of the license issuing authority. secondly it contains only 3 lines about my experience, but has been signed and stamped by the authority concerned.
bro is it ok?

if this letter contains all of your driving license info and signed and stamped with authority address,it is suffice. the good tip is to go suburb (district lying immediately outside of GTA)area of Toronto to enroll for Driver license and u wont have any prob.

Congratulations , I am a frequent traveller , and upon basis of my experience I would suggest that you either opt Etihaad or Emirates , as your 10 months baby will be provided with Baby Bed on these Airlines only. PIA do not care for these protocols.

Fare of these two is also cheap , and they are dead on time. Transit times are also minimum , I beleive PIA goes through either London or Manchester , and there is stay of 4 hours on Airport , that is hectic. Please check your travel agent , he will confirm you.

For DD / Funds Transfer contact Dollar East , they will assist you in getting DD

Emirates have direct flights from Multan also

1- I have to travel with my spouse and 10 month old baby in feb.i am waiting for my pps back from islamabad after stamp.kindy guide me which flight is suitable for me either pia or emirates? as i am living in Multan,want to take flight from lahore.
2- what is the suitable way to carry funds(DD, Travelers cheque)?easily and early deposit after open an account.as i can carry not more than 10000cad cash.

Emirates is definitely better than PIA. But apart from these two options. If you could tell me where do you want to Land then there could be some better options especially if you want to save some money.

Best way to carry funds is to have Demand Drafts. Keep some money in cash like 2000 CAD and for the rest of the funds get Demand Drafts..
