US is very particular about this. You need a visa even to land there, but this is an exception. Though in general for Europe and most of the rest of world, if your stay is just a few hours and within the airport for transit, you often don't require a visa.

For US... There is no Time Limit

Their Clearance may take upto Months.

So Better you take London as Transit.

You wont need Transit Visa For that.

No idea. I have a visit visa to US so never thought / needed a transit. I guess details should be on their website.

But i hope it is not as bad as visit visa since it's processing is pretty much similar to that of Canada with the exception that interview is mandatory even for visit. Some times it takes two weeks to get that, at others 8-9 months.

But this is all i know and i am pretty sure transit won't be that big a hassle and should be simpler.

However, the question remains, is it worthy for you to go through all the hassle. Why not simply choose another route?
