I am currently a refugee claimant and I would like to know if anyone has been successful in getting a visitor visa for their spouse? My husband wants to visit me while our PR application is in progress. He is currently doing his PHD and can that suffice as a strong home tie.
You need to show proof of strong home ties otherwise ours was rejected because of that but try ur luck or you just need to be more patient until the PR is approved

What you ask is difficult especially since you are not a PR. Anybody is free to apply for a visiting visa but only IRCC determines what constitutes strong ties. You can give it a trial after all, it’s only CAD$100 you’ll lose.

Yesterday, they asked me for a medical report for me only, as the wife of a dependent. As for my daughter, who is 10 years old, they did not write any data for her in the application. Is this normal?
I think this is normal. When they send us requests they always send them in the name of my mother. Check with your lawyer or consultant. Btw, how long did it take you from the time they requested additional documents to the time of medicals? And which visa office do you follow?

This is a good home tie but i don’t know if it is enough. They usually care about financial status in the home country also.

Good evening all, trust we all had a great day.
I want to ask for option on this class of application.
I have exceeded the normal processing time. I will be 50 months in May but I have not heard anything from IRCC.
I have sent several mails and webform but not response. So I'm thinking of withdrawing the application and doing sponsorship or leave it and also apply for the sponsorship at the same time.

The waiting is exhausting and confusing,
Please what would you advise?

Thanks

What sponsorship are you referring to? Spousal Sponsorship?
