I received an email that we have been denied a spousal family visa. My husband had his interview Jan 4 2016 and was asked for a new Police certificate and new schedule A regarding work history of 36 yrs as we only sent 11 yrs as per the question on schedule. He was told he would need a new medical so on Mar 18 and 19 2016 that was done and he dropped the receipt off to Immigration in Havana Mar 21 2016 and on Mar 22 at 4.25 I received the denial letter Seems like they had the answer already and was just waiting for him to pay for the medical I feel like they stole my money for this as well as the Police certificate. The email from Immigration stated the following ;
Plus a few lines of why First one was that when he was asked what my status was when we met and his answer was she was divorced which was true( divorced Jan ,1993)and they are saying I was widowed which was never the case
when we met and his answer was she was divorced which was true( divorced Jan ,1993)and they are saying I was widowed which was never the case My ex husband is remarried (1994)and still alive.
They asked about my Father they said he told them he lived in Charleston however my Father died Jan 2013 before we were married. I asked my husband last night if he knew what Charleston was and he had no idea what I was talking about.
They said when he was asked about our relationship they said his answers were very vague and limited. The agent does not believe that the answers were credible for someone in a 6 yr relationship. We met while my Mother and I were on a two week holiday in 2010. We were married on Sept 26.2013 and filed July 11 2014.
Our application was submitted July 2014 and went to Havana Jan 6,2015 The Interview was Jan 4,2016.
11 wks for an answer is crazy.
I have filed for an appeal however I am wondering if there is any point in talking to my Liberal MP about this?
Any thoughts on this and advise as how to address this would be helpful.
