OPEN WORK PERMIT/ PERMANENT RESIDENCE

I have a question regarding the open work permit portion of the permanent residency package.
I currently have a study and work permit. I am confused as to what they need from me for my school and does my employer need to fill out a LMIA? Also what are the typical processing times once the applications are sent in?

I am also applying under the spouse/common law. When they ask when I entered the relationship, do I put the date I moved here or the date we would be considered to be common law?
