Open work permit extension for spouse

Hi.

It's Manpreet Dhesi. I am staying in Canada as worker. I want to apply for the extension for my husband's open work permit. I want to know whether I need B level job for this application. When we started our application, it did not ask for any job letter and any kind of pay stubs. It asks only for document of my status in Canada.

I consulted with many immigration lawyers. They recommend me to get B level job first. So, I am confused. I need advice to apply work permit extension for my husband.
